Four stages, from April 3 to 6
The third month of races of Bardiani-CSF starts in Sicily. From tomorrow the team will attend in the first edition of the renewed Giro di Sicilia, four-stages race that will start in Catania and end on Etna on Saturday.
The race course is mainly mixed. The opening one is suitable for fast wheels, then two nervous days with arrival in Palermo and Ragusa and, at the end, the queen stage for climbers arriving at an altitude of 1,892 meters.
In the selection of Bardiani-CSF for Giro di Sicilia stands out, above all, the name of Manuel Senni, who recovered after the incident which occurred in early February (and consequent operation) and now ready for the debut season. At his side Vincenzo Albanese, Marco Maronese, Umberto Orsini, home rider Francesco Romano (born in Ragusa), Alessandro Tonelli and Luca Wackermann. Stefano Zanatta and Mirko Rossato will be the two team directors.
