The Italian is the 17th rider for the new season. Eight renewals have also been announced
The latest new addition for Bardiani-CSF 2019 responds to the name of Alessandro Pessot. After Luca Covili and Francesco Romano, the rider of the Friuli Cycling Team will be the third neo-professional that the #GreenTeam will launch in the new season.
Pessot was born in 1995 in Treviso and has distinguished himself in under 23 category as one of the best rouleur. From 2014 to today he has won five races and dressed the national team’s jersey on two occasions, the European Championship and the ZLM Tour, both in 2017.
“The Bardiani-CSF call is a great opportunity,” said Pessot. “I can only thank Bruno and Roberto Reverberi for the trust they have shown. Becoming a pro-rider is the crowning achievement of a dream, but I am also convinced that the hardest part is to confirm that I deserve the category. The work that awaits me does not scare me: I can not wait to get started”.
With the new signings Luca Covili, Alessandro Pessot and Francesco Romano, Bardiani-CSF has closed its campaign of strengthening for the next season bringing the number of athletes to 17 at disposal of team directors Roberto Reverberi and Stefano Zanatta and coach Claudio Cucinotta.
Of the current roster, six riders were already under contract for 2019, that are Vincenzo Albanese, Giovanni Carboni (to whom the contract was extended until 2021), Andrea Guardini, Umberto Orsini, Daniel Savini and Manuel Senni.
Eight are the athletes with whom the team has reached the agreement for the renewal of the contract: Enrico Barbin, Michael Bresciani, Mirco Maestri, Marco Maronese, Lorenzo Rota, Paolo Simion, Alessandro Tonelli and Luca Wackermann.
Giulio Ciccone, Simone Andreetta and Simone Sterbini, who in 2019 will no longer wear the Bardiani-CSF shirt, the team wishes a profitable career continuation.
